The hack/exploit he uses was closed sometime back.
The rest is just apps that are commonly available (i.e. Voice
Recorder, SSH and SCP and findutils).
1) Although he makes it sound so simple. He has to have your iphone
docked in order to break into it (so it had to be attached to his
computer).
2) He has to know your IP address (to use SSH and SCP).
If you could not get into the iphone and install your own apps then it
would not be as cool as it has become. It would just be a Nokia!
