No surprise there.

While there are quite a number of changes in Leopard, the
extra resources used are not my cup of tea.

Yes, it does chew up more CPU. Yes, it does chew up more
memory. It is a tad slower (well, for me, at least), but
some other folk have "noticed" improvements in performance
since.

All recent critical updates have not made any improvements
in the performance side, for me. But hey...

That being said, Leopard is a little more modern than Tiger;
and if you can find a way to be less liberal with the
resource utilization, it might actually work out - but
don't expect too many fireworks.

There are some new things like Time Machine, the new Finder
look, e.t.c. I'm not big on some of these things, but on
others, I am.

I'm disappointed, though, with the reduced performance of
Airport. Since moving to Leopard, I have lost 25% worth of
power over the wifi that isn't a problem on Tiger. This is
a known issue.

Perhaps, Leopard runs better, I dare say, on Apple's new
MacBook Air. But without a native Ethernet port and optical
drive, I'm not sure I'll be tearing up the shops looking to
bag one, just yet.

Cheers,

Mark.
