Cisco are starting to play very heavily with virtualization. With their recent stake in VMware, and new platforms now sporting virtualization (Nexus 7000 series, ASR1000, IOS XR, e.t.c.), you can be sure we'll be seeing a lot more desktop/server type applications running on Cisco's routers, what with their new QFP (Quantum Flow Processor) and all. Mark.
