Been using KDE4 for approx 2 months. I had my first real glitch
yesterday. The display went very odd, and multiple reboots wouldn't
clear it. It looked like a power management issue, and when i rebooted
it didn't go to the login screen but back to the desktop as though it
had come out of std by. I went into the grub menu and chose booting with
the quiet option, seemed to fix it.
Otherwise as long as you installed the proper KDE4 apps and not use the
3 ones it is stable.
In answer to your question re zooming.

Many people (on the net) have said kde 4 is not usable. It is a long
way from where it wants to be but it's very usable.
Avahi zero conf works nicely

You can unclutter your windows by hiding the menu bar

kde 4 may be just the desktop to make all the distro differences
invincible.
Any one who is using kde 4, what is the zooming supposed to be for?

Well, the guy who made that video claims he's never had any issues with vista
himself.how good is that claim?Because truth is, vista is crap.Which type of OS
is that? That has no respect for RAM size?
