Hi,

Just a thought, but wouldnt it be real nice if there was a sort of 'Ugandan
Dialer' for linux. Like you stick your modem in, you fire up the Dialer, and
it does all this typing for your, and tells you the status: 'You have a
chinese USB GPRS modem. You must be on MTN. Do you want to dial in?' and
hopsa.

Would that be difficult to do? Would it be something that the ISPs would want?
Could they pay for such a piece of opensource software? Could we make it a
group-effort, offline, or online? Or would a University Professor (kiggs!) be
willing to develop it in class?

just something i had been thinking of before.
