I like the idea of flyers, maybe for around places like FICT? Anyone
here have an artistic bent? Also I love the idea of a Website to store
polls, minutes etc. James any chance we can use this?

some session about monitoring the health of your network and internet
connection, indeed. We could include SNORT (a package that monitors for
intruders on your network, including malware infections such as spambots) and
some other bandwidth monitor.
The people who are suggesting stuff, are also the people who (more or less)
know how this stuff works.
How can we reach out and ask to the sysadmins in uganda that are battling to
keep their winblows networks up and running what they think is usefull to
know? Should we start a small website, and run a poll? (i'd be happy to offer
a drupal installation if someone points the domain linux.or.ug to us). Should
we move part of this discussion to i-network? Should we print flyers?

Ok, so we have had a go ahead from EACOSS, as to the venue for the meet.
Now onto topics.
Some that have been suggested include
Installing a Linux Firewall + Proxy Server*
Installing a Linux Desktop*
Installing an apt-cacher,
Installing e-box*,
Configuring apache
......?
I will be bringing Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop and Alternate as it will be the
release day for 9.04. It may only be the beta release depending on
prevailing internet speeds.
Any other suggestions? I have stuck * next to topics I'd like to hear
about or am happy to talk about.
