For $20-25, there is no way you can get the bus ride and free internet via satellite for 5 hours. According to this site http://www.omg-ponies.com/2008/09/01/review-this-boltbus-review-was-uploaded-from-i-95/ it probably is a 3G card in a wifi router on the bus. And there is GSM connectivity, going by the comment about the people who yap on their phones the whole way.
