Hi, Tomorrow is another LUG meeting! And its going to be a pretty special one!
First of all, we have a new location: EACOSS, located at the beginning of Port Bell Road in the UICT complex. As usual, the session starts at 1600. We have a very interesting program: - The winner in the Poll this month was Gaming. So, we'll try to bringas much games as possible, and actually install and play them. For this, we might have to upgrade some of the machines, so we are going to bring an Ubuntu Caching server, and see if we can upgrade some Ubuntu machines at EACOSS using that cache. - In the second half of the session (or from the start, who knows), we will be joined by Erik Hersman, AKA whiteafrian. For those of you who do not know Erik, he is keeping a technoblog at www.whiteafrican.com and is also one of the driving forces behind www.ushahidi.com and www.afrigadget.com. He is on his way back from Ghana, where he met the Ghanian IT crowd. We're quite exited to be able to meet Erik, and we expect quite a big crowd. If you ever wanted to work on your network without ethernet or facebook, this is a good opportunity to meet IT geek peers.
