AeRC is an organization championing ICT for capacity development initiatives in 
the region through knowledge sharing and skills development programmes. 

COURSE PREREQUISITES : This course requires previous computer knowledge, but 
not necessarily in Linux. Programmers, novice System Administrators, and new 
users of Linux looking for comprehensive Linux /Unix instruction, Users who 
need to know Linux for efficient operation of a UNIX-based application will 
benefit from this course.

§ Configure various hardware for use in Linux 

§ Effectively use the Linux Command Line Interface 

§ Perform basic file management and editing operations

§ Perform basic system administration functions like user management and

§ Secure Linux Systems ( Hardening, SSH and Encryption) 

§ Managing Linux Networks Services 

§ Use Linux to implement firewalls and to perform routing.

achieving the LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 certification status
