I wasn't comparing OSX to any other OS. The original mail was about their product line and the replacement of one of their product points with a more powerful machine. I care more about how productive I can be on the machine and less about the looks. I have noticed that Apple PCs take the central workspace on a desk where as mine sits under the desk out of sight. My focus is on the monitor and what I am doing.
It did take a bit of configuring and investigating to get my Linux PC running the way I want it. I rather enjoyed that though and I like the fact that there are no restrictions on how I can configure my workspace to my liking. But for the corporate world I cannot justify spending money to buy everyone Macs. Especially seeing how employees treat the machines. But that is a story for another e-mail.
