Researchers scanning the internet for vulnerable embedded devices have found nearly 21,000 routers, webcams and VoIP products open to remote attack. Their administrative interfaces are viewable from anywhere on the internet and their owners have failed to change the manufacturer’s default password. http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/threatlevel/2009/10/embeddeddevice-scan-raid09.pdf Detailed findings of our vulnerability assessment will be published in it’s entirety upon the completion of the global scan. -- Simon Sekidde gpg: 98A6 8D22 578C FFCE F6F8 FC80 94D4 2451 1E8B 049D _______________________________________________ LUG mailing list [email protected] http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug %LUG is generously hosted by INFOCOM http://www.infocom.co.ug/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
