You probably want to be careful with debit cards, as they have a direct line to your bank account. Credit cards can be safer when shopping in various places as Fraud or Risk departments will call to confirm purchases if they appear to be different from your regular pattern. Debit cards may not enjoy this feature (although they are restricted to your daily limit - not exactly a "sleep well at night" attribute). Mark.
