Hello Samuel, I don't use ubunutu, so i will give you general linux instructions which work on my SUSE
If you have one of the newer linux distro's, it will both recognize and install this CDMA phone for you. All you need to do is plug it in and type dmesg You should see something like ti_usb_3410_5052 1-1:2.0: TI USB 3410 1 port adapter converter detected usb 1-1: TI USB 3410 1 port adapter converter now attached to /dev/ttyUSB0 Important is " /dev/ttyUSB0" - where it has been mounted open /etc/wvdial.conf with vi, kwrite or whatever is available and create a section as below [Dialer utl] Init1 = ATZ Stupid Mode = 1 Phone = #777 PPPD Options = crtcts multilink usepeerdns lock defaultroute Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0 Username = u...@utl Dial Command = ATDT Password = utl Baud = 230400 Only change the username and password, Dialer, if u please and modem - if your output from dmesg say so. Save and close this file and edit your /etc/resolve.conf file to include your nameservers (preferably ISP's) - save and close this too and do a wvdial utl (in my case) You should have a connection running.
