You'd be surprised. Having worked in a Games company I know we spent a lot of time getting our games to work with certain video cards, and also when a card manufacturer gave you better drivers (and free hardware) you tended to support them better. I can't see how access to the driver won't improve the quality of linux games, and once you improve the quality you leave more time and availability to improve the content.
One of the problems with the Linux platform has been getting similar quality and speed as you'd see say running directx 11 under Windows. This would do well for the game modders and converters as well. regards Joachim _______________________________________________ LUG mailing list [email protected] http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug LUG is generously hosted by INFOCOM http://www.infocom.co.ug/ All Archives can be found at http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
