Thanks!  I'll give them a try.

Apparently the open wall-sockets in the canteen area at the airport are 
something like 500v and are meant to power floor cleaning equipment.  

As there are no labels on them and staff will happily direct you to them if you 
ask for a power socket, I'm willing to bet they obliterate at /least/ one 
device per day. :)
