Hi Frank,

Regarding Remastersys:
If you have a VM in VirtualBox and do a remastersys backup of the host OS it 
should keep everything intact.  That said, this will likely make your 
remastersys ISO very large :)

Regarding the upgrade to 11.04:
I recommend testing a fresh install of 11.04 (e.g. dual-boot) before attempting 
to upgrade your main 10.04 installation (11.04 is reported to still be a little 
buggy and the interface is radically different).

As an alternative to a full upgrade, you could try installing Unity and/or 
Gnome 3 on your current 10.04 installation.

I have no personal experience with upgrading to 11.04 or throwing Unity/G3 on 
top of earlier versions, so others on this list could probably provide more 
insight into this process.
