Hello, Thanks for the sense of direction offered. I have been reliably informed that the problem is originating from MTN our ISP that have issues with resolving .ug domain extensions and since google.com is redirected to .ug DNS that is why I was unable to access gmail, and google.com. but the ISP is trying to manage his side to sort out .ug resolution issues. Hope this is not to me only. In fact from my DNS it can resolve google.com and I can ping it. But when I type google.com/gmail.com they are redirected to google.co.ug for which .ug has issues.

That is quite informative. (does someone know why this authoritive secion is sometimes missing?) As an example, here are 2 digs for our webserver.
