So far I love the Kindle3 from Amazon with the installation of duokan to
allow it to read all popular eBook formats (pdf, epub, mobi and chm) whilst
having a decent internet browser.
The next in price would be a Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 which would also allow
a lot more features including hacking it to run full Linux. All my options
require voiding warrantee but
that is what Linux and FOSS are for IMHO

Subject: [LUG] Tablet / eReader recs?

Hi group,

This might not be the right forum for this, but I'm looking for an
affordable, durable tablet or eReader with web access, what do you all
think? any recommendations?

FYI, the only linux based isn't out (outside of Japan) yet, as far as I can
tell: Galapagos 5.5" eReader Multimedia Tablet - looks perfect but if its
not on the market then I can't buy it...

Best,
