Hi Guys,
I have downloaded and Installed the latest Java rpm on RHEL 5.6, but am
having trouble setting the JAVA_HOME and PATH variables, I have
followed the instructions off the java website and a couple of other
sites with no results, would appreciate the help ironing this out,
steps I have taken:
-Mkdir /usr/java
-tar -zxvf filename
-export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.7.0/bin/java
-export $PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin
