Hi Kyle,

Strongly suggest you get on the postgresql mailing list first and ask for
some pre migrate advice. Both MYSQL and PostgeSQL can be difficult just when
updating from one version to another. When migrating not just raw date but
SQL Queries and relationships (and whatever else the client has in there) be
prepared for a bumpy ride - and don't let the client stress you out. Might
be worth getting a freelancer from abroad rather than trying to find local
competence (unless we really have it here).

Subject: [LUG] Data migration expert urgently needed

Hi all,

One of my clients urgently needs to migrate a large amount of data from one
system to another. Continuous one or two-way synchronization may be
required. The DB technologies are MSSQL (source) and PostgreSQL
(destination).

This is a paying job. Experience with open-source ETL software (e.g.
Kettle/Pentaho, Jasper) is a must. Strong communication skills are also a
must. Please send me an e-mail off-list if you think you can help.

Regards,
Kyle Spencer
