Hi Brian,

Do you want to use either of them or are you looking to recommend
something for someone? 

GnuCash is a good application but it is not multi-user and not browser
based. NolaPro is not completely open source whereas phreedom is a
little young and untested. Whatever the case, I would easier use an open
source erp than Tally, no matter how many Indians recommend or use it.
TRy FrontAccounting, Weberp, Blueerp, or even Lazy8.
Ask me if you need some more guidance.
