Awesome. But isn’t it a process or daemon that hands over emails to the client? This daemon should have rw rights by nature of the fact emails are received and sent.

Despite the proper authentication, it always indicates that there is no mail. Server logs show: dovecot: pop3-login: Login: user=<[email protected]>, method=PLAIN, rip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, lip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, mpid=25498, TLS, session=<BDBllldR6ACBzQYG> dovecot: pop3([email protected]): Disconnected: Logged out top=0/0, retr=0/0, del=0/0, size=0 The Mail File is located in /Var/Mail/ Dovecot Config directive is as follows: mail_location = mbox:~/mail:INBOX=/var/mail/%u Advice will be much appreciated.
