Simple.  NTP feeds your machine _UTC_.  UTC doesn't care about DST.


Your machine's software is _supposed_ to do it's own adjustment.


At this stage in the software game, anyone who allows their machine's
bios to do DST adjustments deserves everything they get.  :-)
