Zdravo!

Do ponedeljka naj bi opravili svoje delo, če hočemo ujeti prvega
kandidata za KDE 2.0 (KDE 2.0 Release Candidate 1). Bo šlo?

        Pozdrav,
          Roman

Hello developers,

I was asked to make some slight modifications to the schedule and the way we
produces the tarballs for the RC. I have updated the release schedule
accordingly.

There are two modifications:

a) The CVS will be closed a day later than planned
b) The RC will be tagged on Monday, 14th

as a consequence, the earliest release date for the RC is Friday, 18th.

The rationale was to allow some testing before we tag and make tarballs, so
we will find real bad showstoppers before making the code public.

Please not that after the CVS is frozen, any bugfixes will have to be
reviewed by at least two core developers and commited by one of the following
persons:

David Faure <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Waldo Bastian <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Lars Knoll <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Rik Hemsley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Matthias Elter <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Werner Trobin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

In addition, there will some persons commiting translations, documentation
and icons:

Michael McBride
Torsten Rahn
Thomas Diehl
The language team leaders

That way, the work on the documentation and translations will not be affected
too much.

I can only ask everyone once the RC is tagged, to start looking for and
fixing bugs. Noone likes read-only CVS, and we should keep the time in this
state as short as possible, so we all want to make a release happen as soon
as possible. Four weeks without new features, and then we can go full steam
ahead again :)

Bye,
Matthias.
