Est�s seguro que al cambiar de runlevel mat� al servidor X?
        A m� me volvi� loco un tiempo un problema parecido de suse73 con una ati 
radeon, que aparentemente colgaba (a veces) si ten�a alg�n soporte de 
aceleraci�n.
        Si bien es mi equipo de escritorio, el cagazo de perder alguna de las 
ventanas en los distintos escritorios me sac� de mis amadas ttys.

        Ahora, con suse80, creo que anda m�s r�pido, no tuve problemas entre ttys y 
X, pero creo que es MUY EXAGERADO al tragar memoria.
        En resumen: fijate en el soporte del video: a ver si te deja switchear m�s 
tranquilo.
