We do virtualization routinely. Should be no issues. In fact, use of KVM/VMware/Virtual box for local testing is quite common among Lustre devs. However, we really like to be close to the metal for performance reasons. I would not use visualization in a production environment where performance was crucial. I am also not certain how well high-performance networking does in a virtual server - we make heavy use of RDMA when available. cliffw > > > _______________________________________________ > Lustre-discuss mailing list > Lustre-discuss@lists.lustre.org > http://lists.lustre.org/mailman/listinfo/lustre-discuss _______________________________________________ Lustre-discuss mailing list Lustre-discuss@lists.lustre.org http://lists.lustre.org/mailman/listinfo/lustre-discuss
