Hello, I've been following the procedure for setting a lustre ost to read only, but it doesn't seem to be working.
I want to set this ost to read only (as seen on the mds): > lctl dl | grep OST000e 23 UP osp lustre2-OST000e-osc-MDT0000 lustre2-MDT0000-mdtlov_UUID 5 > lctl --device 23 deactivate > lctl dl | grep OST000e 23 UP osp lustre2-OST000e-osc-MDT0000 lustre2-MDT0000-mdtlov_UUID Looking in dmesg I see the following: Lustre: setting import lustre2-OST000e_UUID INACTIVE by administrator request And the same thing shows up in messages: kernel: Lustre: setting import lustre2-OST000e_UUID INACTIVE by administrator request I'm running lustre 2.5.3 on Centos 6.5: lustre-2.5.3-2.6.32_431.23.3.el6_lustre.x86_64.x86_64 kernel-2.6.32-431.23.3.el6_lustre.x86_64 w/r, Kurt J.
