hi, yesterday i looked through the cataloge of the "berliner gemäldegalerie" and found a "thumbnail" of a female luteplayer painted by hemessen or an anonymus. did someone has a larger print of this painting? on the right of this painting is an open lutebook/musicbook. but my reproduction is too small (3 x 5 cm). i am living only 130km from berlin. so next week - after my lute lessons with beate dittmann (her cd "Wol kumbt der May", thomas schall announced this today, is really wonderful) in berlin - i´ll go to the gallery and visited holbein and hemessen.... greetings w. ======================== Dr. Wolfgang Wiehe www.zal.tu-cottbus.de ========================
