Dear e-friends,
As April 1st is coming to a close, and it is time to set aside the
merrymaking: I would like to offer you Lied #100, a VERY FINE anonymous
Ukrainian "Kant" about Adam's Fall from the early 1700's. It has all the
hallmarks of Dimitry Tuptalo style, so I believe it came from his pen. It
was originally set for 3 voices, and I made an obbligato lute part
(11-course) using all 3. The song is peculiar rhythmically: it goes from 3/4
to 3/8 to 4/4 to 3/4
