Hi,

I´ve read this as well as the ricercar thread, after a while abroad, and as I see it,
lute tablature, notated in your own favourite way, (there are many...) is the most
logical way to play a chordophone.

What has not been mentioned is the need to keep the fingering as long as you possibly
can. Or should I say: "Don´t take any finger away, that can be held as long as
possible." (That's what my teacher told me, anyway...)

The lutenists of yore, ususally marked the notes-to-be-held with a cross, but logical
thinking, or perhaps logical motorics :) will probably do the trick.

Another Besserwisser post ..... Sorry!

Göran
