The historical precedent suggests that Dresden 80+cm theorbo was tuned in
d-minor, sans chanterelle.
This has NOTHING to do (aside from borrowing the tuning for expediency) with
our "garden variety" Baroque-Lute, which occupies an entirely different
aesthetic world.
