Stubbs

Lautengalanterie: In the mid-1800s, the Baroque lute had its heyday as a
virtuoso solo instrument. But a little-known and fascinating repertoire
is
the one for two lutes, often deployed as a mini-orchestra for overtures
and
concerti. Treat yourself to the music of Hagen, Baron, Telemann,
Falckenhagen, and Weiss performed by two of the foremost virtuosi of the
Baroque lute-the indefatigable BEMF Artistic Directors, Paul O'Dette and
Stephen Stubbs.

Masterclass with Paul O'Dette, Stephen Stubbs & Ellen Hargis on
Thursday,
June 16, 2005 focusing on 17th-century accompanied solo song.
