Please excuse - what is the relevance of the sheer quantity of repertoire? I feel that lutenists have an vast amount of music to select from - much more than a single player could play in his lifetime.
The 19th century guitar was very popular and there is also a lot of repertoire. So neither guitar players nor lutenists should become bored? Or what is the deeper meaning of this comparision of the amount of repertoire? best wishes Thomas -- Thomas Schall Niederhofheimer Weg 3 D-65843 Sulzbach 06196/74519 [EMAIL PROTECTED] To get on or off this list see list information at http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
