I found a lute in a rather unlikely flick: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, with Michael Caine and Steve Martin. It was just a brief sighting, no playing, a lute in a glass cabinet with other early instruments. The movie is certainly worth watching, however. Quite amusing!
