Sorry if this has already been discussed before, but I just got a used turkish 6 course Oud with most strings missing. I want to restring it totally and have no idea how high the tension should be. I suppose it is a bit higher than a lute's string tension (maybe something like 4kg per string?). I am also not sure about which tuning I should use. Any advice would be helpful.
