Hi david,
I presume that you mean with "the" airs de cour, the airs of the 15 Ballard
prints with Boesset, guedron etc. before 1630? There are only a few editions
of these airs: minkoff facsimile, an excellent french edition with 90 airs
with staff and tablature by Verchaly and perhaps some other edition I don't
know of. Both mentioned editions are in french without translations. I've
some translations of 'best of airs de cour', but I have to look them up for
you. If you are more specific I can type them or scan the sheet.
The excellent AR edition with airs by Sebastien Le Camus has translations, but
that's a later source.
By the way these texts are not allowed in the puritan US, so be careful not to
be spotted.
Taco
