The videos Thomas put up has prompted me to ask a question---or two. It
seems to me sometime about a year ago there was a discussion concerning this
very thing. How great it would be if it was possible to put some of our
performance work on the web site. At the time I believe the administrator
of the site mentioned that this was not possible because the way the site
was set up. So now one daring individual not only puts up some music but a
video as well and subsequently gets hammered for doing so. So why was that?
Do we have to play better or as good as Paul O'Dette before we can even dare
to do what Thomas did? Do those who criticized Thomas have the pelotas to
do the same as he? I thought this site was about the Lute and its music?
So why is it that all we do is talk about it but don't do it? I find this
kind of frustrating, wishing to hear how other people of less stature than
the Lute gods we now worship.

Vance Wood.
