I just listened to Heringman, I find his playing eminently listenable, I
cannot recall having listened so long to a plucker lately without the wish
of putting it off.
Maybe my ears have different preferences. I am critical on my own
instrument's intonation, but I'm just glad that intonation is not my first
priority. You could hardly listen to anything anymore.
BTW, I just heard a new disc of the "Dutch Wind Ensemble" (Nederlands
Blazersensemble) playing Mozart's Gran Partita, and just the sheer
intuneness of the ensemble was stunning in itself.
