Make sure all your pieces are fitting together. You need to a) "rip" music off
vinyl, b) save it in a format that you will be able to "burn" on CDs, c)
actually burn it.

Point a) if you use your USB turntable, you will need some following
processing, as you experienced already? Therefore going from an analog "out" of
a turntable amplifier, more preferable.
b) Most of CD burning software needs 44 100 Hz 16 bit Wav files, so in Audacity
you go to "Edit" - "Preferences" - "Quality" and set Default Sample Rate and
Sample Format to these numbers. {If you ever, ever will go between different
sample rates, you have to use Dither, probably triangular.}
If needed, do the "Bass-boost"
Export your files as .wav . The settings you put in Preferences will guarantee
correct format.
Use your favourite CD burning software to make the CDs.
