Allways worth a trip: the music instrument museeum (walking distance from Potsdamer Platz). Their display is, hmm, questionable but they do own some pretty impressive instruments - not only lutes (Tilke for example) but also some quite impressive early Harpsichords and a remarkable set of renaissance woodwinds. There are also some lute realted paintings in several museums all over town ... if you are into early painting/sculpture those are definitely worth a vist.
