Hi everyone,
I have posted a new release of the DjangoTab software on my site at http://django.musickshandmade.com. That version is fully enabled until Christmas and adds more flexibility in the handling of color in tablature. You can check some examples of this in the transcriptions of the Milleran and Capirola manuscripts also available on the site - see http://django.musickshandmade.com/showcase/preview/184 and http://django.musickshandmade.com/showcase/preview/180 for a quick look. The full transcriptions are included in the collections section of the site. I also added a searchable database of a fairly large number of pieces in facsimile format (about 3500) currently restricted to contributors to the site. There are more and more facsimiles of lute music available from the WEB, but targeting specific pieces can be difficult. So I am wondering if developing the concept further could get some wind in the sails from the lute community.
