Use SSD for /home too and use SATA only for some less used larger data.  My 
personal workstation has only a Intel 120G SSD, that's more than enough local 
storage and the NFS server is used for big things.  My mother in law has a 
120G Intel SSD as the only storage in her home, it's more than she needs.
