I would think this would be pretty "fruitless" -- the Raspberry Pi gear is already very cheap and I don't think you'll see any reduction without huge quantities. Have you been given any idea of a discount for volume or are just fishing to see? Also, the whole idea of the RPi is more geared towards education, rather than enthusiasts. I would also think that their might be better enthusiast options out there.
