More information from Mozilla here, where they recognize that they have more than 20 million people using it: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird/New_Release_and_Governance_Model Mozilla may not be interested any more in allocating resources to develop and add new features and functionality, but I can't see Thunderbird (and Icedove and friends) going away in the foreseeable future. For a GUI desktop application e-mail client, it gets my vote. -Adam
