We have a load balancer with 120+ VS, so we have a fair amount of experience with ldirectord. Today I tried to add a new VS and it won't "come up" (the RS weight won't change to 1).
It would take a while to explain the symptoms in writing. Basically, ldirectord is telling LVS that a certain server exists and is up, even though it is not. It is also telling LVS that a certain server is NOT up, even though it is. I made a video showing exactly what is happening. http://www.psmnv.com/downloads/lvs0004.avi The video is about 10MB in size and it is not being served by a streaming server, so it may take a while for it to fully download before the video starts. My ldirectord.cf is also quite long. Here's a link to it if anyone is interested. The VS is question is the last one in the file. http://www.psmnv.com/downloads/ldirectord.cf -- Eric Robinson And now the annoying server-appended disclaimer VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV Disclaimer - November 14, 2008 This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for LinuxVirtualServer.org users mailing list..
