If so, you'll need to convert this to a cluster-aware filesystem (such as Redhat's GFS, or one of the NBD variants) so it can be shared. Alternatively you'll need to export it using NFS to multiple frontends but you would still have a single point of failure - ergo, you'd need a cluster file system and more than one NFS server. > what authentication method we should used for this. It's my feeling that you're looking at this the wrong way round. If your current authentication system works, then adding LVS into the mix won't change that. How about you tell us the problem you're trying to solve, then maybe someone will be able to offer a bit more tailored advice rather than "how do I fit LVS into my multi-gigabit datastream?"...
