Absolutely expected. You have the IP address for "www.mydomain.com" bound to lo:0 on both machines, so trying to contact it from a machine when there's no httpd server listening on that machine will fail. What happens if you stop the httpd on the other server, and try to make a client connection from that one? Graeme PS the 169.254/16 range is the "link-local" range, otherwise known as "zeroconf". You can disable these superfluous addresses on network startup on RedHat derived systems by using "NOZEROCONF=yes" in the appropriate config file. Even if you have them, they aren't really used anyway on properly configured systems. _______________________________________________ Please read the documentation before posting - it's available at: http://www.linuxvirtualserver.org/ LinuxVirtualServer.org mailing list - [email protected] Send requests to [email protected] or go to http://lists.graemef.net/mailman/listinfo/lvs-users
