I get the same output, when I send the SYN packet to the board: not for us,
not bouncing it off...

And at Keiren, the board _is_ being assigned the intended IP by the PPP
server:

netif_set_ipaddr: netif address being changed
netif: IP address of interface  set to 192.168.1.4
netif: netmask of interface  set to 255.255.255.0
netif: GW address of interface  set to 192.168.1.3
netif: added interface pp IP addr 192.168.1.4 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw
192.168.1.3
sifup: unit 0: linkStatusCB=10500 errCode=0
callback 0
netif: setting default interface pp
local  IP address 192.168.1.4
remote IP address 192.168.1.3


Please suggest further!
