I did! (cf. trace) lwip advertizes a 536-byte MSS.
OK, then I don't know why - good that you filed a bug: I haven't
observed this up to now, but then again, our systems use an MSS of 536
(as a result of memory constraints) and are normally not connected to
the internet...
