Hi All, This is a period of transition for LXC unprivileged containers, LXD, Systemd and cgroups and its becoming difficult to track all the issues without intense knowledge.
I have put together an LXC and LXD support chart for various distribution. http://www.flockport.com/lxc-and-lxd-support-across-distributions The main issues that need clarity: 1. Running systemd hosts and containers, and the role of lxcfs 2. cgroup management in systemd and the role of cgmanager, 3. Unprivileged containers and all the various bits needed - uidmap, userns, libpam-systemd, systemd-shim, cgmanager 4. LXD The chart is based on testing on the various distributions , reading of the lists but it's far from complete. I have possibly got a number of things wrong and would appreciate feedback. I think could be useful to have something like this on the linuxcontainers.org itself that is maintained. Thanks Tobby www.flockport.com
